Nestled into the palm trees on the southernmost tip of Lamu Island is the Cabanas Lamu comprised of 6 unique private Cabanas on a 12-kilometre stretch of secluded beach. For us, it's always been about the experience. We designed a space powered purely by the sun and the wind with little to no use of chemicals and plastic. A space to immerse in the healing nature of our island home. A space we can share our love of yoga, wellness, kitesurfing, food and the beauty of mindful living.
The cabanas offer cool, comfortable accommodations for families, couples or single travellers – each cabana has its own large netted double bed, bathroom and private terrace: some made entirely of palm thatch, others with elevated coral foundations. Carefully sited to allow for maximum privacy, the cabanas are surrounded by indigenous trees, shrubs and bird song. Sited on a raised sand dune at the center of a long beach, the Cabanas share a fabulous pool and dining area with panoramic views of the channel and the ocean, where our chefs will deliver a delicious daily menu.
You can practice or learn kitesurfing with our expert teachers who go out of their way to deliver the best so you are comfortable and confident out there. Whatever your needs our instructors will customize lessons to reach your kitesurf goals.
Our locally built dhow and pride of the Kipungani people and the owners is available to help you explore the island archipelago in comfort, style and in keeping with tradition.be it on sunset sails, day trips or overnight safaris.
