The Swiss Side in Iten is the perfect place for your training camp in Kenya. Our high-altitude international centre welcomes visitors from all around the world all year round. We provide athletes with all the facilities needed for a successful training camp at high altitude: cryotherapy, sauna, traditional Kenyan massages, a modern gym, good food a unique view of the village of Iten, the home of Kenya’s running champions. The Kenya Experience, symbolized by the famous “Go Hard or Go Home” mindset is manifested daily by the runners on the red-soil roads around Iten.
We have a simple regime that entails eating, training and resting in tandem with the regime of the sun. We encourage our guests to follow a regimented daily routine that maximizes the efficiency of their training and the effectiveness of the time they spend time with us. The regime starts with an early morning run at 6.15 a.m., followed by breakfast at 9.15a.m, individual morning activities from 10 am lunch at noon and an afternoon of rest or leisure. There is a second run at about 5 p.m., rest at 6. pm and dinner at 7.15 p.m.
We offer comfortable rooms and healthy tasty meals geared to provide our campers with the nutrients they require to uplift and retain their performance at peak levels. We have four suites that may accommodate one and up to three athletes. Each suite offers a bedroom, a living room, an equipped kitchen and a private toilet. Our beds feature memory foam mattresses for maximum comfort.

In addition, we provide our guests with safari services to famous Kenyan tourist attractions. These include the Masai Mara National Reserve, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, Lake Baringo, Lake Bogoria, paragliding in Iten, Agro-tourism in Nandi Hills, hikes in Kessup and Torok Waterfall in Mount Elgon and visits to the Indian Ocean beaches in Mombasa and Diani. Our safaris last from three (3) to twelve (12) days.
